Collection of Personal Information

In the course of promoting the sales and marketing of UniVillage, it is necessary for UniVillage to collect personal information from time to time. In the course of carrying on business, UniVillage comes into contact with customers (and prospective customers) of our freehold strata title properties, tenants (and prospective tenants) of our rental properties, building contractors and subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, job applicants, employees, and other members of the public. Typically this information is collected when accessing this website, speaking to us on the telephone, sending us an email or facsimile, completing a registration of interest, participating in a survey, or meeting in person with us. In some cases we may also receive information about you from a third party source (for example, a real estate agent).

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

In general, UniVillage's policy is only to disclose personal information collected for the purpose which was either specified or reasonably apparent at the time. UniVillage may also use or disclose the information collected for any other related purpose that the customer would reasonably expect it to be used. However, if UniVillage wishes to use or disclose the personal information in different circumstances it would first obtain the customer's permission to do so.

Sharing Information with Other Organizations

UniVillage does not sell personal information to a third party. The only circumstances in which outside organizations may be given access to UniVillage's customer personal information are when UniVillage's contractors and service providers are assisting UniVillage in the operation of its business or to provide a customer service (for example a real estate agent helps with follow-up contact with a prospective customer from the registration of interest received via the website). UniVillage requires that these agencies adhere to our Privacy Policy and to strict conditions governing how this information may be used.
